先后就读于复旦大学、北京大学和美国埃默里大学,并在美国基因泰克公司和埃默里大学接受科研训练。曾任南开大学生命科学学院副院长、美国佐治亚理工学院访问教授等。现为中国细胞生物学学会资深理事,中国遗传学会理事,四种国际期刊的编委。
微管细胞骨架参与细胞分裂、细胞运动等众多细胞活动,对于生物体的生长和发育至关重要。微管还与种类繁多的蛋白质复合物一起,组成中心体、纺锤体、纤毛等复杂而精巧的细胞结构,表现出令人困惑却又十分有趣的行为。我们课题组利用多学科交叉的前沿技术,聚焦于微管在细胞活动、组织器官发育以及人类疾病中的动态结构与功能。这些研究获得国家自然科学基金委员会、科技部等部门的资助。
