Research Areas

Cytoskeleton and related organelles play pivotal roles in many cellular activities, such as shape arrangement, intracellular transport, signal transduction, cell movement and cell division. Abnormalities of these organelles are always correlated with the occurrence and development of tumors. In addition to cancer cells themselves, the tumor microenvironment also plays a crucial role in cancer development. We are aiming to explore the role of cytoskeleton and tumor microenvironment in carcinogenesis and understand their regulatory mechanisms. Our goal is to fully understand the mechanism of carcinogenesis and provide novel targets as well as strategies for cancer diagnosis and treatment.

1. Role of cilia and centrosome abnormalities in cancer progression.

2. Role of hypoxia and related signals in cancer progression.

Key words:Tumor growth and metastasis; Cilia; Centrosome; Hypoxia; Post-translational modification
