Research Areas
Cell signaling is the key process to realize cell-cell communication, and it is also the basis for cells to sense and respond to external environmental stimuli. Signal transduction is closely related to diseases, so investigating the regulation of signal transduction is helpful to control the occurrence and development of diseases. Our laboratory is mainly engaged in studying the signal transduction regulatory mechanisms of innate immune responses to microbial infection. We will be focusing on investigating the functions of metabolic enzymes or metabolites in regulating innate immunity response using both macrophage and mice challenged with bacteria or viruses as infectious models. Our team will address the molecular mechanisms underlying the metabolic regulation of pathogenic microorganism infection. Our findings will provide the theoretical basis for designing and developing targeted drugs against pathogenic microorganism infection.
Key words:cell signaling, innate immunity, metabolism, virus, bacteria, inflammation.
