Research Areas
Atherosclerosis is the main cause of coronary heart disease, cerebral infarction, and peripheral vascular disease. Vascular endothelial cell dysfunction is an important hallmark of atherosclerosis, which is manifested by abnormal endothelial cell arrangement and cell gap, decreased osmotic pressure. Cilia plays an important role in regulating vascular endothelial cell function; however, its dynamic changes and regulatory mechanism are still unclear. Our research group focuses on the role of cilia and related signaling pathways in the development of atherosclerosis.
